Triggers & Panic Attacks

Triggers and Panic Attacks go hand-in-hand with abuse. They were essential survival mechanisms. But they continue even once we escape, as our brain is so used to going into this mode.

But we can retrain our brains, to lessen and eventually stop these attacks. It takes work and time. But you can do it and it is well worth it.


This video gives 2 simple techniques to use regularly to help develop self compassion and then deal with triggers and possible panic attacks.

A Compassionate Thought Diary is a  useful tool to shift self criticism towards far more helpful self compassion. This then leads on to using this to handle triggers and possible panic attacks.
